The Dean Easement

The Town of East Haddam has a Conservation Easement on 280 acres of the Dean Property, one of the few remaining working farms in East Haddam. The acreage includes 70 acres of active farmland, producing hay for the farm's beef cattle, and additional acreage of usable agricultural land. The remaining land is forest.

The property has about three miles of woodland trails open to public use. The property is accessed via Parker Road and connects with the Town of East Haddam's Harris Property.

This property is maintained by the Town of East Haddam.  For additional information, contact the East Haddam Conservation Commission.  The property is closed to the public from November 1 through December, except on Sundays.
